Sandra Bullock was born in Arlington,
VA where she grew up with her family. As a family, they
traveled to Austria and Germany, wherefor her Opera Singer mom
had performances. Sandra would often perform in the children's
chorus in those performances. By the time she was 12 years
old, her family moved to settle in the US again.
She went to high school at Washington Lee High School in Arlington
(where she was a cheerleader!) and voted "Most Likely to
Brighten Up Your Day" by her class. From there,
she went to college at East Carolina University in Greenville,
NC, where she studied acting and drama. Anxious to start
her career, she left before graduating from college to move
to New York.
As many young actresses, she paid her dues through waitressing
jobs, roles in student films and eventually moved on to
television shows and ultimately feature films.
